it was hella funny.

hazy rocks.

apa’s favorite koi fish jumped out of the pond and committed suicide.
he’s been terribly depressed about it.
brandon suggested that we get him a new one for father’s day.

currently listening to:
i like hazy because they sing ridiculously silly songs about ridiculously silly things.

no more red meat

li sasaki is my hero.

last night at the [re]collect art/music exhibit:
“can you play something slower? like hiphop?”
“you know, you’re clearing the dancefloor. maybe you should play some hiphop.”
“hey! can you play some hiphop?”

apparently breakbeat is not loved by all
and apparently people think i’m a jukebox and not a dj.

i was very discouraged,
but i’m glad my friends were there to give mad support and mad hugs.
you guys are the best.

the other performers and artists were impressive though.
one of my favorite pieces, by kevin nguyen

but osby and i couldn’t figure this one out.

we headed to an underground afterwards.

shaking my no-ass to ghetto tech with the greatest friends until 4am.
what a great friggin’ night.

oh, and graveley came along and was recognized as “the christmas tree guy
and vincent as, “oh dude, didn’t you and veanne go on some photo adventure?”

it must be sort of strange huh, to read about someone, see their pictures..
and then to finally meet them in real life?

i miss my stubbies

my mood changes constantly and is sometimes reflected through my projects,
and sometimes when i’m working on two projects simultaneously..
well in this case,
they both turned out with red and orange tones.

some screenshots of hazy’s website.

li‘s breakbeat cd.

currently listening to:

li’s 50/50 mix

just put me in a wheelchair, get me to the show

joey is doing promotions for the exotic erotic ball
and needed nudie magazines for advertisement purposes.
he was afraid of looking like a pervert so i went along with him to the smut store.
the guy behind the counter asked me if i needed any help.
“yeah, do you have any dvds with chicks who don’t look old enough to be my mom?”

mind you, i was totally kidding.
he didn’t laugh though. instead, i was directed to the barely legal section.

life in san francisco.
“did you go to the hippyfest today?”
“you mean the protest?”
“yeah, that’s what i said, ‘hippyfest.'”

that evening, johnny’s house party.
he built a halfpipe in the driveway.
i tried to take action photos.

li bails. does that count as action?

massive turn out for the first sunset party of the year.
toshok was kind enough to lend me his camera.

the crowd.

right before sunset, i ventured off into the hills.

currently listening to:

twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to go

screw sponge bob. i want a sponge job.

2003 was suppose to be the year of projects
but i think most of it was spent flying.

the past two weeks:
i wanted to forget it was christmas..
spend it alone
frollicking around the flat in my undies.

but sebastian wouldn’t have it and flew me out to arizona
to spend christmas with his family.
i was charmed by his mother,
who dances along to
and his father,
who we caught daydreaming during jeunet’s amelie.

sebby got me a vintage 8mm movie camera.

i made a brief appearance at the dna lounge.

went snowboarding with zachary on 2.5 hours of sleep.

nye with 25 friends nibbling on tapas at andalu.
i haven’t seen the south bay kids since august.
i swear, you will never find another group of people with
such distinct personalities, strong opinions
and omg.. the funniest dialogues.

li is one of my favorites.

the entrance to a clandestine warehouse party we stopped by.

my new year’s kiss:
the cutest boy in the world called me seconds to midnight from las vegas
and kissed me over my cell phone. :)

currently listening to:

when we kiss they’re perfectly aligned

not even noon yet!

li and i drove our darling joey to the airport last night
for his first trip out of the country.

“but joey, who’s going to keep me out of trouble for the next six weeks?!”
“you’ll be fine veanne.. you’ll be fine without me.”
“yeah, i’ll be fine. i’ll be knocked up by the time you get back.”

as joey entered the frenetic entry gate towards the boarding section,
i screamed,
“JOEY! DON’T GO! because.. I LOVE YOU!!”

and li continued with,

we must have embarrassed poor little joey
because he covered his face and shook his head.

awe, i miss him already.

warm sunny days

this feeling of benevolence wafts about..
and everyone’s copulating like bunnie wabbits.
saturday bbq at the pleasuredome for jah’s birthday.

in the kitchen..

then i drove down to south san jose to meet up with mike.
we sat on top of a jungle gym at a playground near his dad’s house
and talked late into the evening.
there’s something delightful and sweet
about the quiet nocturnal setting of playgrounds
suffused with dim orange street lights.

friday night:
joey got punked by huver and sasakibomb at paul and eddie’s.

saturday night:
housewarming party at vlad’s schwanky new bungalow in san francisco.
